Often times I’ll look out at the crowd during a epic set and rather than the crowd dancing all they can do is bob their heads in the sardines can of a dance floor. Stages are way more packed compared to how frequently they used to be in previous years which is a major vibe killer. While YES there are many times when there is plenty of room to dance even during prime time hours, it is getting more and more chaotic at night. Lows: Shambhala continues to worry me with their approach to festival expansion. The line up was incredible this year, so many bucket list artists crossed off the list. Good vibes were to be found in the right places. Being able to walk from grove vibes, to village, to fractal, and pagoda in less than 10 minutes never fails to blow my mind. Highs: the festival continues to have world class stage design, production value.
